IPM Facilities Ltd was delighted to recently secure the project of designing, manufacturing, and installing a 6-meter-high signage totem pole at one of our client’s properties. This opportunity arose due to the need for a replacement of the previous, undersized, and damaged installation.
To ensure the perfect placement of the new sign, our team performed extensive groundwork. This involved excavating the area and creating a robust concrete pad with precise fixing points. Structural calculations were conducted to guarantee the sign's optimal load-bearing capacity.
Additionally, a future power supply connection was incorporated, specifically designed to accommodate the installation of LED elements at a later date.
The installation was broken down into three main phases:
Phase 1 - The safe removal of the existing concrete pad and ensuring any ground services remain safe and intact.
Phase 2 – The installation of the ground cage and fixing points and production of a new concrete pad. This was left for 14 days to set and dry ready for Phase 3.
Phase 3 - Delivery and installation of the new signage totem and to finish of with, the importation of 10 tonnes of topsoil and relandscaping around the base.
